Revisiting teaching programs is not enough to increase employability. That is why, in UIT we go beyond upgrading our teaching programs and work on developing a set of employability skills, such as ability to manage oneself, the ability to work as part of a team, the ability to solve problems, business and customer awareness, and so on.
While developing these skill sets is important for employability, what we at UIT have learned collectively is that simply trying to teach these skills is not the most effective approach. Our Strategy in UIT is to integrate the learning of these skills into activities outside of the formal curricula, to open up opportunities for students to take on roles in leadership and volunteering, as well as maintaining an open and interactive communication channel between our students and companies
